Akimat of Nur-Sultan and AIFC agree on cooperation to attract investment

The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the akimat of the city of Nur-Sultan identified priority areas of cooperation for the coming year. Among them are increasing the investment attractiveness of the capital and working with investors, ensuring international transport accessibility of Nur-Sultan, the further development of the Smart City project.

Kairat Kelimbetov emphasized that the AIFC will make every effort to promote business development in the city and create conditions for increasing business activity.

The AIFC has created unprecedented conditions that have no analogues in the Eurasian space, the AIFC legal status is fixed by the Constitutional Law. AIFC participants are granted privileges up to 50 years, simplified currency, visa and labor regimes. The Astana International Exchange or AIX operates at the AIFC, which provides foreign and domestic investors with technologies of international standards investors.
The parties also agreed on mutual work with investors, as well as on facilitating the transfer and implementation of global best practices in attracting investments.
