Today, the first meeting of the Working Group on the development of notary services in the AIFC was held with the participation of representatives of the Republican Notary Chamber, the AIFC Authority, the AIFC Expat Centre and AFSA.

The AIFC Working Group on the development of notary services in the AIFC was established with the aim of preparing a pool of English-speaking notaries with the knowledge of the AIFC Acting Law in order to provide services to AIFC participants and other applicants in the AIFC jurisdiction.

In the course of the meeting, the members and Chairman of the Working Group were appointed. Mr Nurzhan Kosbayev, Managing Director-Director of Legal Support Department of the AIFC Authority was introduced as the Chairman of the Working Group. Ms Assel Zhanabilova, the Chairman of the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also joined the Working group as a member.

Questions on practical aspects of rendering notary services in the AIFC and comparative analysis of international experience in notary services were discussed during the meeting.
