The AIFC Authority hosted the AIFC Law Conference, dedicated to the AIFC Court, International Arbitration Centre and the AIFC Legal Framework, in Almaty on 14 May 2018 for local legal practitioners.

The aim of this Conference was to provide an open discussion panel on the AIFC & IAC services, as well as to introduce a special legal framework based on the principles, legislation, and precedents of the law of England and Wales and the standards of leading global financial centres.

Among the speakers were Sir Rupert Jackson (Justice of the AIFC Court), Andrew Oldland QC (Member of the AIFC Legal Advisory Council), and Christopher Campbell-Holt (Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC, Member of the AIFC Legal Advisory Council).
