New Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: priority principles of state environmental policy; new requirements in environmental legislation

The AIFC Green Finance Centre and AIFC Academy of Law hosted a webinar on “New Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: priority principles of state environmental policy; new requirements in environmental legislation” in collaboration with HALLER LOMAX LLP Lomax.
 
The new Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted on 2 January 2021 and entered into force on 1 July 2021. The new Environmental Code is based on the best practices and contains several significant amendments. In our webinar we will talk about the priority principles of state policy in the field of ecology and focus on the most significant amendments.

The Speaker: Arman Bigazin, Partner, Haller Lomax law firm
Arman Bigazin specializes in construction, energy, public-private partnerships, and telecommunications. Arman was the member of the working group and participated in the development of the new Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Arman also has solid experience in lawmaking: he was actively engaged in drafting of the Entrepreneur Code, the Public-Private Partnerships Law and the Law on Venture Financing.
