The Management Council of the Astana International Financial Centre is a permanent collective body headed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Council is the supreme governing body of the AIFC.
Its main responsibilities include identifying strategic growth areas for the AIFC and facilitating a favourable environment for its development as a world-class international financial services centre. The involvement of Kazakhstan’s President and senior officials of government institutions is indicative of the importance placed on the AIFC by the Republic of Kazakhstan and serves to ensure complete government support at every level.
