Kazakhstan will held the International Economics Olympiad among schoolchildren IEO 2020 in Nur-Sultan

The AIFC Bureau will held the next International Economics Olympiad among schoolchildren IEO-2020 at the Astana International Campus site, with more than 100 high school seniors from more than 20 countries participating each year.
The open voting took place on July 25 as part of the second annual International Economics Olympiad among high school students (IEO) held in St. Petersburg from 24th to 31st of July.
This year, 29 teams, 133 high school students aged 16–18 from 24 countries, including Austria, Brazil, China, Kazakhstan, India, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, the United States and others, take part in the Olympics. These are winners of national competitions in economics and fundamentals of financial literacy, which were held in each country and identified the participants of IEO 2019.
The national stages of the Economics Olympiad are held for the second year in a row on the AIFC site. The winners of AIFC Finance Olympiad get the opportunity to represent the country at the international IEO stage. 
Thus, last year at the Olympiad in Moscow, the national team of our country took III place in the team competition, II place in the tour on the solution of the business case and took silver and bronze medals in individual offsets. 
The national team of Kazakhstan is represented by 2 teams, which include high-school students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in the cities of Karaganda, Uralsk, Semey, Petropavlovsk and Nur-Sultan.
The International Economics Olympiad consists of three stages, each with its own theme - financial literacy, economics and business case solving. The closing ceremony and the announcement of the results are scheduled for July 31.
In 2020 Olympiad will be held in Nur-Sultan city.
