The AIFC Academy of Law hosted the fifth Legal Talks of 2019 on 10th of December.

Guest speakers Mujtaba Hussain, Managing Partner, Emirates Legal FZE and Emirates Legal AIFC, Kazakhstan; Hussain Hadi of the Middle East publishing arm of LexisNexis; Daniel Gleek, Partner and Solicitor- Advocate, Head of Dispute Resolution of Axiom Stone Solicitors; Gani Ashimkhan, Counsel in Dentons Almaty office, as a panel of legal professionals discussed the topic “AIFC – the future is now. Operating in a dual system legal environment.”

At the 1st round of the Panel session, the AIFC Legal Talks speakers provided separate presentations, during the 2nd round the Panel session covered the topic during the panel discussion and shared their views and opinions between each other.
The event was a huge success, attracting over 70 participants. The participants had the opportunity to get answers to the questions they were interested in.

After the Legal Talks event, memorandum on cooperation was signed between the AIFC Authority and LexisNexis to ensure future cooperation between the parties. Furthermore, the award to the 250th company incorporated in the AIFC, Emirates Legal FZE was officially given to the Managing Partner, Mujtaba Hussain by the Deputy Head of the Business Development Group of the AIFC Authority, Nursultan Serikbay.
