Astana International Financial Centre congratulates financiers of the country on the professional holiday

Today financiers of Kazakhstan celebrate their professional holiday. It should be noted that November, 15 was declared a professional holiday for employees of the financial system by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated on November 13, 1997. This year Tenge is turning 25 years. The name of the national currency Tenge was given by Sauk Takezhanov, well-known Kazakhstani scientist, holder of the Kurmet order, academician of the International Academy of Engineers. On November 15, 2006 the national currency was framed with a new design, and banknotes of 200, 500, 1 000, 5 000 and 10 000 Tenge were issued. The national style currency design reflects the state symbols, architectural objects and natural landscapes of Kazakhstan.
It is worth noting that the Astana International Exchange Market Opening was held on the eve of the professional holiday.
The introduction of Tenge into circulation is a special historical value for the people of Kazakhstan. The AIFC staff congratulates all Kazakhstanis on National Currency Day and financial sector specialists on the Financier`s Day.
