Experts of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) continue to visit the regions as part of the World Investor Week. Today, representatives of the AIFC met with students of the East Kazakhstan State University named after S.Amanzholov in Ust-Kamenogorsk and informed them about the functioning and development of business at the site of the financial center.
According to Aidar Kazybaev, Managing Director of the AIFC Administration, the AIFC will not only attract investment to the country, but also provide an excellent opportunity for the development of domestic business. “Although many people know about the work of the AIFC, not many people know that the company will be able to provide a good opportunity for business development by registering at the AIFC site. To this end, we organize regional meetings and meet with local students and entrepreneurs” said the expert.
At the same time, the expert said that foreign companies are already interested in the work of the AIFC. “AIFC is in great demand among foreign companies. Why? Because, in order to find its place in the international arena, the country's Constitution was amended. Recently, a number of Russian companies have begun the registration process at the AIFC. Another opportunity offered by the AIFC to investors and entrepreneurs is exemption from corporate tax for up to 50 years. Thanks to this, the AIFC surpassed the financial centers in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Riga. We are planning to become one of the 50 best financial centers in the world” said Aidar Kazybayev.
Let us remind that from October 1 to 7, the World Investor Week (WIW) is held in 80 countries around the world. During the event, representatives of the AIFC visited the cities of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay and Ust-Kamenogorsk, met with local students and business representatives. The main purpose of this visit is to increase financial and investment literacy of the population.
