AIFC Green Finance Centre and Jysan Invest sign MoU for collaboration in the field of sustainable finance

The AIFC Green Finance Centre (AIFC GFC) and Jysan Invest signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of sustainable and green financing, in particular in issuing green and social bonds.

 In line with agreements reached, the parties will interact to promote and develop green and social bond markets, in particular, to support the registration of the issue, listing and placement of green and social bonds on the Astana International Exchange (AIX).

Jysan Invest is one of the largest investment companies engaged in brokerage and dealer activities in the securities market and investment portfolio management activities in Kazakhstan

Nurdaulet Aidosov, Chairman of the Board of Jysan Invest, noted: “Today, climate change is a real challenge for humanity. Many countries are already moving on to the green path of economic development and this can explain the rapidly growing volume of green bonds in the world. We are joining forces with AIFC GFC in order to stimulate the issuance of green bonds in Kazakhstan and offer the best conditions to our potential issuers. “

AIFC has been working on the development of green finance and green bond market in Kazakhstan and in the region by creating a regulatory framework and introducing legislative standards for the formation of a green financial system of Kazakhstan, providing  consulting support for green bond issuers on AIX platform, conducting research in the field of green finance, raising awareness and building capacity among business circles through trainings and a new platform – the annual Green Growth Forum.
