On April 4 of this year, the Second Central Asian Scientific Forum on Sustainable Development and Innovation of the Kazakhstan PhD Association in Great Britain was held for the first time in Kazakhstan at the Astana International Campus venue of the Astana International Financial Centre.
The aim of the Forum is to provide a platform for attracting potential partners from government bodies and business structures for scientific projects of Kazakhstani scientists in Kazakhstan and the UK, aimed at sustainable development of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries through the implementation of scientific projects.
During the event, young scientists presented their advanced projects and discussed the possibilities of interaction within the framework of the forum’s agenda, which is aimed at establishing ties and strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and British universities, as well as stimulating research activities in areas such as chemical and mining, agriculture, tourism, energy, education and infrastructure development.
The Second Central Asian Scientific Forum on Sustainable Development and Innovation of Kazakhstan PhD Association in the United Kingdom was held with the active support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Astana International Financial Centre, which share the value and importance of continuous professional development and research activities to ensure sustainable development in the Region of presence.
During the Forum, an agreement was signed between the AIFC Bureau (BCPD, Ltd) and the Kazakhstan PhD Association in the United Kingdom, within the framework of which cooperation in the field of scientific and research activities in key areas of the AIFC is planned.
“As BCPD, being the AIFC competence center and a platform for interaction within the framework of continuous professional development, we will be glad to cooperate with young scientists. Each doctoral candidate can speak at our Astana International Campus venue, share ideas, conduct scientific and research activities for the benefit of Kazakhstan and the entire Region,” said Yernur Rysmagambetov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of AIFC Authority.
“Today, more than 80 doctoral students from Kazakhstan are studying in the UK, studying in various specialties. This platform was created in order to facilitate the interaction of young scientists of the two countries in the field of science and education, as well as to ensure dialogue between investors and projects. The forum, which takes place in Kazakhstan for the first time at the AIFC, is needed so that every real scientist in our country can present his breakthrough idea to investors and create an innovative export product of Kazakhstan, ”said Aliya Sembaeva, head of the Kazakhstan PhD Association in the UK.
