Kazakhstan Launches FinPro Financial Literacy App for High School Students

The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) has launched FinPro, a mobile application designed specifically for high school students taking their first steps into the world of personal finance. The app combines educational content, practical tasks, and gamification tools, turning financial literacy learning into an accessible and engaging experience.

A dedicated investment module is a key feature of FinPro. Built on integration with the Astana International Exchange (AIX), the module allows users to buy and sell demo shares using virtual money in a simulated learning environment. Students can build a training portfolio and track its performance under real market conditions. This provides a safe and visual way to explore the fundamentals of investing, learn risk analysis, and practice informed financial decision-making without using real funds.

FinPro offers thematic modules covering core financial topics, including budget planning, expense management, savings, investment principles, and financial risk awareness. The content is delivered through video lessons and text materials, followed by quizzes and practical exercises to reinforce learning. The app also enables users to track their progress, displaying the percentage of completed lessons and tests within each course.

To sustain interest and motivation, FinPro incorporates game-based elements. Users earn points and advance their in-app rank by successfully completing lessons. Additional engagement is driven by the “streak mode”, which rewards consistent daily learning, while a leaderboard adds a competitive dimension by allowing students to compare their achievements with peers.

“The AIFC has been actively developing its Academy to enhance financial knowledge among both professional and general audiences, and the launch of FinPro is a natural continuation of this work. We believe that building a strong financial culture starts at an early age — right from school. When creating FinPro, our goal was to provide high school students with a clear, modern, and practical tool to help them take confident first steps in personal finance. This is not just an educational project; it is the AIFC’s contribution to shaping  financially literate generation,” said Talgat Amanbayev, Chief Innovation Officer of the AIFC Authority.

FinPro helps young people develop modern financial habits, understand how to manage personal budgets, and build long-term financial skills. The app is available for download on App Store and Play Market.
