Mandatory Health Insurance for TRP Applications
Dear AIFC Participants,
We would like to inform you of the key requirements related to the application or extension of the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) in the Republic of Kazakhstan. These requirements are in accordance with the provisions of Kazakhstan’s legislation.
Healthcare Provisions for Labor Immigrants:
As per Article 35, paragraph 6 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Migration”, labor immigrants must ensure access to the following healthcare services:
- Primary healthcare services; and
- specialised medical care in inpatient conditions in an emergency form on the terms determined by the agreement of the parties, in compliance with the minimum requirements established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Mandatory Health Insurance for TRP Applications:
When applying for a TRP, including for citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), it is mandatory to provide a valid health insurance policy that covers the healthcare services mentioned above.
Please be aware that the validity period of your health insurance will be considered during the review process of your TRP application.
