The Head of the Sakha Republic got acquainted with the activities of the AIFC
As part of the visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), headed by the Head of the Republic Aisen Nikolaev, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (hereinafter – the AIFC, the Centre). The delegation was met by the AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov.
The delegation was also attended by the Minister for Foreign Relations and Peoples’ Affairs of the Sakha Republic, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yakutsk, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Head and the Government of the Sakha Republic, etc.
During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the special legal regime of the AIFC, based on the principles and norms of common law, tax preferences and visa benefits in force in the AIFC, as well as the advantages of jurisdiction and achievements of the Centre.
The delegation was also presented the work of the AIFC bodies and organisations – the Astana International Exchange, the Court and the International Arbitration Centre, the Astana Financial Services Authority, the Tech Hub, the Green Finance Centre, etc.
Following the visit, a bilateral meeting was held, during which agreements were reached on strengthening cooperation through the development of joint projects.
