Two large-scale events held within the Digital Bridge Forum in Astana

On November 5, the annual Digital Bridge Forum was held in Astana, which brought together recognized experts in the field of digitalization, company managers, scientists, investors and startups. Within the framework of the forum, two large-scale events were held: awarding a prize in the field of digitalization and the competition of startups.

Among the guests there were the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the Prime Minister of Estonia, Jüri Ratas, the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of Russia, Konstantin Noskov, international foreign experts working at the Astana International Financial Centre. Also on the platform of Digital Bridge there were more than 50 Kazakh and international speakers.

 «I think that Digital bridge is a very good initiative. We had a lot of great meeting, networking opportunities and partners from around the world. Kazakhstan is going through the “Digital Kazakhstan” Initiative. There will be bigger focus on IT development as well as on digital innovation. So we are hoping that this digital bridge will truly be bridge to other parts of the world moving forward”, – shared his impressions  AIFC Chief Fintech Officer Afiq Bin Johar.

During the forum, speakers shared their experiences, expressed their opinion on achieving success in the field of digitalization and cyber security. Among them there was an expert from Israel Uzy Zwebner, the co-founder of Cyber Park in Be’er-Sheva, Israel.

“One of our missions at the AIFC is to give job opportunities for graduate young people like in Israel. So, we will make training programs to make local people experts in cybersecurity, Blockchain etc. I see passion here in Kazakhstan in a good will. Together with our know-how system and standards we will develop this field”, – mentioned Uzy Zwebner. 

Within the framework of the Digital Bridge Forum, the first award in digitalization in Kazakhstan was presented – the Digital Bridge Awards. In the nomination “The Best Digital Initiative” the winner was the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Office “Onay” became the best office of digitalization. In the nomination “Best IT-company” Documentolog company was awarded.

It should be noted that the forum also included a start-up competition in the format of speeches to Astana Hub Battle audience, where the best project was awarded $ 15,000 dollars, $ 5,000 for the second place, and $ 1,000 for the third place.
