Entrance and Departure before the Holidays

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, one of the main questions that arises is the departure of foreigners to the country of their citizenship/permanent residence and the possibility of returning back to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, for instance, whether a foreigner with C3 work visa can freely return to Kazakhstan for further work??
The answer is yes, but it is subjected to the conditions below.
Currently, the following categories of foreigners are allowed to leave and enter the Republic of Kazakhstan:
  1. Foreign employees (specialists) of Kazakhstani and foreign companies that have received the permission from the Interdepartmental Commission to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan. Make sure that your employer / inviting party has issued a multiple-entry-exit permit, as the single-entry-exit permit is given by default.
  2. Citizens of countries with which the Republic of Kazakhstan resumed direct flights. For example, Germany. At the same time, only flights are allowed to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan. You do not need a permission from the Interdepartmental Commission to travel to the Republic of Kazakhstan, but you and your family members may need a visa. In the absence of a visa, the inviting party must contact the Migration service to issue an invitation for a visa.
  3. Residence permit holders in the Republic of Kazakhstan and their family members can enter country no more than 1 time in 90 days. At the same time, if you have a permission from the Interdepartmental Commission for multiple entries, the 1/90 limit does not apply to you.
  4. Other persons of the list (the full list is available at knb.gov.kz)
Should you have any further clarifications or queries on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact AIFC Expat Centre team.
