AIFC announces the adoption of the Legal Services Regulations and the establishment of the Legal Services Board

The AIFC Legal Services Regulations were adopted and the AIFC Legal Services Board (the Board) was established in the AIFC.

The Regulations were adopted to introduce the regulatory regime for the legal profession and ensure high professional standards of competence, ethics and integrity in the provision of legal services in the AIFC. The Board is chaired by Simon FT Cox, who has been a member of the AIFC Legal Advisory Council since 2017. He is also a senior consultant at one of the leading international law firms, Norton Rose Fulbright, and has extensive experience in working on the UK and international securities (including IPOs and other equity and debt security issues), mergers and acquisitions and investment fund projects. Simon Cox also has experience in Kazakhstani projects.

The Board also includes representatives of the AIFC bodies and AIFC Academy of Law, partners of Seven Pillars Law, Kinstellar, Grata International, AGZ ZanHub, Aequitas and Berg & Moll law firms.
