The delegation of the Supreme Audit Chamber got acquainted with with the activities of the AIFC
The delegation of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SAC), headed by Chairman Natalia Godunova, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), where the activities of the AIFC Bodies and their Organisations – the Astana International Exchange, the Court and the International Arbitration Centre, the Astana Financial Services Authority, the Tech Hub, the Green Finance Centre, etc. were presented.
As it was noted, the AIFC budget application is reduced annually, and the amount of taxes paid by the Centre’s Bodies and their Organisations, as well as by AIFC participants, is growing. Thus, according to the results of 10 months of 2022, the volume of taxes coming to the state treasury from the Bodies of the Centre and their Organisations, as well as participants of the AIFC, exceeded 17 billion tenge. It is expected that by the end of 2022 this figure will reach 20 billion tenge and, accordingly, will cover the amount of funds allocated by the AIFC from the state budget over the past two years.
Following the results of the visit, the management of the SAC gave a high assessment of the AIFC’s activities, and noted the importance of compliance with international standards.
