Open lectures of the AEF took place at the AIFC

As part of the Astana Economic Forum, open lectures by AEF Talks were held at the Astana International Campus site of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) with the participation of experts in the field of urban planning, the global economy and new industries.
The event is aimed at raising awareness and engaging the audience in an open expert discussion for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of international economics for the purpose of continuous professional development and increasing the human capital index in Kazakhstan.
During the AEF Talks, topics such as the fourth industrial revolution and the future of cities were discussed. The speakers shared their vision of the future of industry and urban planning.
The event was attended by Jeffrey Sachs – Professor, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, winner of the 2015 Blue Planet Award, Vladislav Inozemtsev – Director of the Center for Post-Industrial Society Studies, Member of the Russian Scientific Council on International Affairs, Nicolas Gutierrez – Managing Director, Head of Resources and Industry Practice X.0 Accenture in Russia and Maria Grigorieva – Managing Director, Head of Technology at Accenture in Russia.
AEF Talks took place at the initiative and with the support of the AIFC Bureau (BCPD, Ltd), the Institute for Economic Research, Astana EXPO-2017 NC, and the mass media training centre of the Qazmedia ortalygy (Media School).



Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) was created at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2015 within the framework of the Nation Plan “100 specific steps to implement five institutional reforms.” The Center operates in accordance with the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 438-V “On the Astana International Financial Centre” dated December 7, 2015. The purpose of the AIFC is to increase the inflow of foreign investment in Kazakhstan with a focus on the non-primary sector, development of the domestic capital market, and developing its own expertise in promising areas of finance.
AIFC Bureau (BCPD Ltd.) specializes in preparing for international professional certifications using world best practices in the field of continuing professional development in order to expand human resources and form a pool of international professionals from local experts to work in the AIFC eco-system and on the open market.
Astana International Campus (AIC), being a part of the infrastructure of the AIFC on the territory of EXPO, it is a professional interactive multimedia platform for international and local partners of BCPD Ltd. Campus activities are aimed at supporting continuing professional development initiatives.
