Chief Markets and Products Officer appointed at the AIX

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”, “Exchange”) is pleased to announce that Assel Mukazhanova has been appointed as Chief Markets and Products Officer. She will be in charge of the Markets divisions: Retail investors, Mining, Public Issuers, Belt&Road Initiative, Product Development. As such, Mrs Mukazhanova also joins AIX Management and Executive Committees to bring her expertise to the execution of AIX ongoing and strategic roadmap.

Assel Mukazhanova, former Head of Public Issuers, has been successfully working for the AIX since December 2017. During her tenure, Assel proved to be very professional in her job, focused on the delivering AIX’ strategic business goals.

Assel Mukazhanova has started her career back in 1992 in Foreign Operations of Bank Turan. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial and banking services industry and before joining AIFC/AIX, Assel held the of Executive Director at JSC “Kazkommertsbank” focused on international banking, capital markets, investor relations, M&A and strategy issues.

Ms. Mukazhanova has been involved in a number of milestone deals including fund raising transactions with multilateral organizations, syndicated loans, pre-IPO schemes, IPOs (including the upcoming KazMunayGas one), securitization& M&As.

Assel graduated from the Kazakh Academy of Management with a degree in International Business and she also followed executive academics at London and Harvard Business schools.
