CHINA CONFERENCE: CENTRAL ASIA 2026

A flagship SCMP‑convened platform focused on China–Central Asia capital, resources and infrastructure partnerships as Kazakhstan emerges as the Middle Corridor’s investment hub.

ABOUT CONFERENCE

China Conference: Central Asia is a one-day (September 7, 2026), high-level forum co-hosted by the South China Morning Post (SCMP) and the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). The event will explore and examine how Chinese investment, trade and diplomacy are shaping the next decade of growth across Central Asia.

Structured around four core themes – macroeconomy and diplomacy, mining and resources, financial services and capital raising, and infrastructure and connectivity – the forum will convene Chinese and global investors, policymakers and corporate leaders to identify emerging opportunities and forge new cross-border partnerships.

China Conference: Central Asia extends SCMP’s established China Conference series into a new geography, following successful editions in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia. By convening regional and international stakeholders in Astana, the event aims to foster new partnerships, support high‑quality, cross‑border projects and position Central Asia as a key hub in the next phase of China’s global economic engagement.
