The members of the Legal Advisory Council of the AIFC met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Today, members of the Legal Advisory Council (Advisory Council) of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) along with the First Deputy Chairman of the AIFC Administration Board Marat Aitenov met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Beketaev and other representatives of the Ministry of Justice.

The agenda was devoted to the presentation of the current regulatory regime of the legal industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Advisory Council was established to ensure that the AIFC legal community complies with international best practices and develops the AIFC legal services market, including by increasing its credibility. The objectives of the Advisory Board include an assessment of the rationale and evidence for regulating legal service providers registered with the AIFC and identifying the most appropriate regulatory methods and structure to achieve the stated goals of the AIFC.



AIFC. The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) was established at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. The constitutional law on the creation of the AIFC was signed on December 7, 2015. The goal of the AIFC is to create a leading centre of financial services at the international level. The objectives of the AIFC are to assist in attracting investments into the country’s economy, creating an attractive environment for investing in the financial services sector, developing the securities market of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensuring its integration with international capital markets.
