Closing of the Expert school on the common financial space of the EAEU took place

The Expert school  «the Role of the Astana International Financial Centre in the integration processes and the formation of the financial space of the EAEU» was closed. The school is organized by the Astana International financial centre (AIFC) with the participation of the Russian international Affairs Council (RIAC).
Kairat Kelimbetov, Governor of AIFC, presented certificates to the participants. He wished them further professional growth and noted that the AIFC is ready to contribute to the integration process within the Eurasian economic Union.
Program Manager of RIAC Ekaterina Chimiris in her closing speech stressed that the most important processes are launched after the completion of the school, when the participants, enriched with new knowledge and contacts, receive a new impetus to development in their field. 
The expert school is designed to increase the potential of the pool of qualified experts of the EAEU member States, able to form a common financial space for the free movement of financial services, as well as to expand the range of financial services and their availability for the population of the Union member States.
More than 140 applications from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were received for training at the Expert school. More than 20 experts were invited and trained on the basis of competitive selection. Among them were masters of advanced universities of the world, holders of international professional certificates, authors of publications of the best scientific journals, managers in the field of finance, education, analysis, as well as researchers and civil servants interested in the topic of Eurasian economic integration.
Among teachers and speakers were leading experts in the field of finance, economics and international relations, with extensive experience and knowledge in the field of activities on the territory of the EAEU. 
According to the results of five working days of the school, the participants together with the curators developed a project of foresight for the development of financial integration in the EAEU, and defined the role of the AIFC in this process. The result was three projects from the groups, as well as the final coordinated foresight project, where the participants identified the main trends affecting the development of financial integration of the EAEU in the next 20 years.

Astana international financial centre (AIFC) was established on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2015 as part of the national Plan “100 concrete steps to implement the five institutional reforms”.
