AIFC Academy of Law of the BCPD has become an authorised partner of ACAMS in CIS
The AIFC Academy of Law, under the umbrella of the AIFC BCPD (Bureau for Continuing Professional Development Ltd), is now an authorised partner of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) in the CIS region.
Under the cooperation agreement, individuals and organizations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus will, from January 2022, have the unique opportunity to access through the AIFC Academy of law various ACAMS certification training, membership benefits, and best practice expertise.
ACAMS is the largest international membership organization for Anti-Financial Crime professionals (175+ countries and regions) providing associate, specialist, and advanced levels of globally recognized certifications in the areas of Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS), Global Sanctions (CGSS), Know Your Customer (CKYCA), Transaction Monitoring (CTMA), Fintech Compliance (CAFCA), Audit, Financial Crimes Investigations, Fraud, Risk Management, among others.
ACAMS supports individuals, and private and public entities throughout the world, who are dedicated to ending financial crime through thought leadership, continuing professional education, and best-in-class peer network.
Certification will boost the employability of individuals across the globe, and will support organizations to build robust Anti-Financial Crime readiness in line with best international standards and practice.

The Astana International Financial Centre was created by the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev as part of the “100 steps to implement five institutional reforms” national program. The Centre’s development strategy until 2025 was approved by the Management Council of the AIFC during the council’s meeting on July 2, 2020.
