AIX Welcomes Altyn Orman’s Debut Green Bond Issuance
Astana International Exchange (“AIX” or “the Exchange”) is pleased to announce the listing and admission to trading of the first tranche of green coupon bonds issued by “Altyn Orman and K” Limited Liability Partnership.
The issuance comprises the first tranche of Green Coupon Bonds in the amount of KZT500mln, with a maturity period of three years under KZT5bn green bond programme.
The proceeds from the issuance will be directed towards the expansion and further development of a full-cycle forest nursery dedicated to producing high-quality planting material. The project is intended to support private afforestation initiatives, contribute to reforestation efforts within the State Forest Fund, and promote both urban and rural greening.
AIFC Green Finance Centre acted as an advisor to the issuance, supporting the structuring of the transaction.
Assel Mukazhanova, AIX CEO, said:
“Expanding the range of sustainable finance instruments remains an important focus for AIX. We continue to see a consistent market interest which reflects a broader commitment from businesses to support environmental initiatives. At the same time investors’ appetite for such instruments is there, which in turn underscores the alignment between issuers and the investor community.”
