Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited AIFC

The delegation of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by the Chairman Maulen Ashimbayev, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC, the Centre). The delegation was met by the AIFC Governor Kairat Kelimbetov.

During the visit, the guests were provided with information on the further development of the Centre, the interaction of the AIFC with the Government, state bodies, national companies, etc. The Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan also got acquainted with the main results of the Centre’s Bodies and Organizations, such as the AIFC Court and the International Arbitration Centre (IAC), Astana Financial Services Authority, Green Finance Centre, Tech Hub, Expat Centre, Astana International Exchange.

It was noted that today the volume of attracted investments through the AIFC platform amounted to $6.95 billion, of which $2.47 billion are portfolio investments, $4.48 billion are investments of AIFC Participants. More than 1,500 companies from 65 countries of the world are registered in the jurisdiction of the Centre.

Following the meeting, the Parties noted the need for further interaction in the framework of the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State.
