The Forum dedicated to discusasing “Investments into the New Economy” was organised during the Astana Finance Days (AFD) on June 29th, 2022 at Nomad City Hall.
Following speakers - representatives of the creative industry of Kazakhstan took part in the session devoted to investments into the film industry and the blogosphere:
The idea that local film production and the blogosphere have a great potential to develop and compete in the international market given the proper investments into the creative industry was agreed by Mr Zholdaskali and Mr Kamaladin.
In addition to the speakers from the creative industries, the discussion included experts from finance sector, namely top-managers and experienced specialists in asset management and deal structuring: Ms Sholpan Ainabayeva, Chair of the Management Board of JSC «SkyBridge Invest» and Mr Daniyar Kelbetov, Managing Director, AIFC Authority.
The forum was moderated by Mr Mukhamedkali Tauan, Chief Marketing Officer, AIFC Authority, who summed up the first session: “AIFC ecosystem and its jurisdiction provides conditions for local representatives of the creative industries to attract foreign investments to their projects and structure their deals in a more convenient manner”.
In addition, opportunities to investments into sports industry and IT projects connected to sports theme were discussed by famous football player, three-time champion of Kazakhstan, Mr David Loriya and Venture investor, Mr Dinmukhammed Syzdykov during the session “Sport: New Ways to Invest”.
Mr Aidar Kazybayev, Chief Executive Officer of the AIFC Green Finance Centre presented a joint project with «Zhenis» FC on the implementation of ESG standards in the corporate governance of the mentioned football club.
During the break between the sessions the forum partner - Red Bull organized a DJ set and freestylers show. The Forum was also supported by MYD production, Zebra Coffee, Argymaq, 2GIS, Yandex Go.
