The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Henley & Partners, an international consulting firm, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of residency by investment programme at the AIFC
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Henley & Partners, a global leader in investment migration advisory services, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s investment attractiveness and supporting the development of its investment migration framework.
The Memorandum establishes a foundation for cooperation in advancing residency by investment initiatives through the AIFC. Key areas of focus include strengthening efforts to attract individual investors and exploring opportunities to introduce new investment instruments.
The AIFC currently operates the Investment Tax Residency Programme (ITRP), which provides foreign investors with an opportunity to obtain a long-term investor visa and tax residency status through investments in AIFC financial instruments. The programme will serve as the foundation for cooperation under the Memorandum and support the further development of Kazakhstan’s investment residency offering, including the introduction of new mechanisms and opportunities for international investors.
The AIFC has established a dedicated infrastructure to support foreign investors, including through the AIFC Expat Centre. Serving as a single point of contact, the AIFC Expat Centre provides comprehensive support and facilitates onboarding process for foreign investors and international professionals in English.
Nursultan Serikbay, Chief Policy Officer and Member of the Management Board of AIFC Authority, said:
“The AIFC continues to focus on creating favourable conditions for international investors by providing modern financial infrastructure, an independent jurisdiction based on the principles of English common law, and effective investor protection mechanisms. The signing of this Memorandum at the AIFC reflects the high level of confidence in our jurisdiction and further strengthens its position as a leading financial hub in the region and within the global financial ecosystem. This cooperation will facilitate the exchange of expertise and deepen engagement with global leaders in the field of investment residency.”
