On 28 June 2022, the session Legal Talks: Mitigation of Legal Risks during Challenging Times was held within AIFC Law Conference during Astana Finance Days 2022.

Challenges and opportunities of doing business during current geopolitical crisis that is becoming the most significant risks for any business operating across multiple jurisdictions were discussed.

The session was moderated by Roy Pearce (Member of AIFC Legal Advisory Council, Partner at Baker McKenzie based in London). Andrew Oldland QC (Member of AIFC Legal Advisory Council, Partner at Michelmores based in London), Amjad Hussain (Partner, K&L Gates based in Doha), Khawar Qureshi QC (Head of McNair International), Anastasia Malyugina (Managing Director & Head of Disputes & Forensics (Eastern Europe, CIS, & Central Asia), Berkeley Research Group UK Ltd.), Ishaq Burney (Managing Director, Chief Legal Officer, AFSA) have shared the audience with general overview of key takeaways to be taken from challenging times.
