The Astana International Financial Centre registered the 1000th participant

The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) announces that it has registered the 1000th company on its platform. Thus, the financial center has outpaced the previously planned targets.

The AIFC was chosen by companies from 57 countries of the world. The AIFC top 10 by the number of registrations includes: Kazakhstan, People’s Republic of China, Russian Federation, USA, Singapore, Great Britain, India, UAE, Turkey and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In 2020 registration of companies in the AIFC completely switched to online mode, registration period was reduced from 7 to 1 day.

The company that became 1000th in the list is providing IT services. In total, now more than 50 technology, ICT and fintech companies from all over the world have registered in the AIFC jurisdiction, including such as Amazon Data Services Kazakhstan Limited, Minebest, Bitfury etc.

 The Astana International Financial Centre was created by the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev as part of the “100 steps to implement five institutional reforms” national program. The Centre’s development strategy until 2025 was approved by the Management council of the AIFC during the council’s meeting on July 2, 2020. In accordance with the strategy, the vision of AIFC is in becoming the leading financial centre in the region that includes Central Asia, the Caucasus, EAEU countries, western China, Mongolia, and Eastern Europe.

 The mission of the AIFC is in assisting the sustainable and long term development of the region. As the head of state Tokayev noted, “AIFC, with its unique opportunities, can act as a universal platform that connects the countries in the region.”
